Greetings and thank you for visiting Holy Symbols. As a custom jeweler in the early 90's I thought I had reached the pinnacle of my career when I set my first 3 carat diamond in a platinum ring. I was wrong. Shortly after my ordination to the priesthood in 2001, I saw that the pectoral crosses available for purchase were limited and in most cases quite expensive. So I began to manufacture quality pectoral crosses at a price I thought most clergy could afford. I can not fully express the blessing and joy I receive when I see a Bishop, priest or deacon "proclaiming Christ crucified" while wearing a cross that I have created. These crosses that we wear around our necks as bishops, priests and deacons are not merely part of our uniform. They are not like a police officer's badge that tells the public that the officer wields a certain authority. Rather, the pectoral cross is a sculpted icon that symbolizes a truth that needs to be shown to world. That truth is that Jesus died for the whole world. When we wear the cross we are proclaiming that truth. I am blessed to be able to provide these crosses to the Clergy for that ministry. In His Service, |
